November 4, 1612 militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders, thus putting an end to the Time of Troubles and strengthen the independence of the Russian state.
Unity Day - not only a tribute to this heroic page in the annals of the country, but also a reminder that we all, regardless of nationality, religion, cultural background, party affiliation - one people with a common historical destiny. From our joint efforts to further the construction of a sovereign independent, effective and strong state.
